“Transfixion” is a series of twenty-six paintings by Abriel Peralta that explore depression, anxiety, loneliness, loss, seperation, abandonment, betrayal, unrelenting night terrors and dissociative rage.

trans·​fix·​ion : a piercing of a part of the body as by a suture, nail, or other device in order to fix it in position.
